Virginia Polo Teams at Cornell's Bill Fields Tournament

This past November the varsity men’s and women’s teams traveled to Ithaca, New York to Cornell’s Oxley Arena to compete in the Bill Fields Invitational Tournament. The teams each took a string of Virginia Polo ponies to use in the tournament.

The UVA men’s team began the tournament with a Wednesday evening game against SMU, and unfortunately lost, setting them up for a spot in the consolation match.

Nevertheless, the UVA men ended the tournament on a high note with a win in the consolation match against Cornell, finishing with a score of 19 to 9.

Friday the ladies made their debut for the tournament against UK’s women, beat them and secured their spot in the finals.

The ladies took on USC Aiken in the final match and defeating the team 14 to 11, taking home the trophy for the tournament. Congratulations lady Cavs!
