Virginia Polo Clinics Supported by the PTF
Designed for experienced interscholastic players looking to improve their playing and riding.
2026 Clinic Dates:
July 9-11
July 30-August 1
Cost of the clinic is $1000 if you bring ponies and $2000 if you rent ponies through Virginia Polo.
Enrollment begins January 1, 2026, email info@vapolo.org.
Please email before sending payment for the clinics to be sure horses are available.
About the Clinics
These popular 3-day intensive clinics provide mounted skills and drills, classroom chalk talks, swing analysis, coached evening chukkers, and culminate in a competitive final game Saturday morning.
The Polo Training Foundation (PTF) supports these clinics by providing excellent instructors, jerseys, and financial support.
2025 featured a host of excellent instructors including Julio Arellano, Miguel Torres, Robin Sanchez, Abbie Grant, Lou Lopez, and PTF instructors-in-training Lucas Arellano, Fatima Balzano, and Zak Coleman.

Intro to Polo Camps
We want to share the joy of horses and polo!
The 2025 sessions were a great success and we look forward to sharing polo with more kids next summer 2026!
Assistant Coach and Barn Manager Abbie Grant, aided by UVA student players, will introduce kids to the fun of the farm, lots of quality time with the ponies, and the basics of polo.
The first session, June 29-3, 2026, is designed for kids 8-14 years old and the second session, July 20-24, 2026, is designed for ages 15-18 with some riding experience (riders should be comfortable at the walk/trot and willing to canter). We are flexible on these ages, so reach out if you have siblings or friends that would like to attend together!

Individual Lessons
Available to those of all ages and abilities, individual lessons with Coach Lopez and Assistant Coach Abbie Grant are available by appointment on our ponies or yours.
