It is our pleasure to announce the creation of the Chevy Beh Memorial Polo Scholarship!
In tribute to their older brother, Joevy & Garvy Beh generously created the scholarship to honor the memory of Chevy Beh at Virginia Polo. Thoughtfully identifying his time in the Virginia Polo Club as cherished years of his life, the brothers gifted the scholarship to annually distinguish and assist a Polo Club member with dedication to the sport similar to Chevy's. The character of the recipient plays an important role in the selection process, the brothers wish to reward a player who embodies Chevy’s dedication to excellence both on and off the polo field. They generously gifted the scholarship to ensure it could be awarded immediately, in the Fall of 2023. The scholarship ensures the memory of Chevy will remain at the Virginia Polo Club long into the future.
While playing for the UVA Men’s Polo Team Chevy was a dedicated student and polo player and made many good lifelong friends. Along with occasional visits to the Polo Center after graduation, including the dedication of the Beh House, Chevy remained an active Virginia Polo alum playing for the University of Virginia team in the Harriman Cup.
The Virginia Polo Board, alumni, and members of the Virginia Polo Club are greatly appreciative that Joevy and Garvy chose to benefit and assist members of the Polo Club in this way in tribute to Chevy.
